I was going to do an actual poll on this, but there's just too many ships and loadouts to list.

I don't know about best. Once I got a ship that was adequate for what I wanted to do. I just kept it. I'm in a raptor. My config is -

1 Crew
6 equipment hardpoints
4 Hull plating
3 fuel tanks
10 cargo bays

I'm unarmed so I don't need to put anything into weapons or energy cores.

Thanks for starting this thread Darklyte. Interesting to see stats on other peoples ships. As Satano says, "best" doesn't really exist. It just depends what role you need your ship for.

I'm presently configured for construction... so heavy defensive capabilities and minimal offensive.

Here's my current set-up:

I'd be interested to see how the performance ratings compare with you guys.

It depends on my mood when I get on the game. Sometimes I feel like mining, then I might do combat or just explore a little bit. I have the extra crew slots for a Navigation Officer, Science Officer, and Weapons Officer, which I have yet to find any good ones.

I'm still not sure if I like the combat capabilities of my frame, I still have moments where I get insta-sploded against ships, but it could be my skills (or lack-there-of Razz)

If you want to boost the Centurion's combat capabilities, the first step is to add a little more maneuverability by replacing your reactive plating with composite plating, then you can add things into harpoints such as a cannnon relay system and cannon heatsinks to increase your fire rate and time. I fly a leviathan setup as an explorer/combat hybrid. I'll try hard to get on today and post my specs.

I'd be interested to see your specs Sanctus, as I fly a leviathan too. Your suggestion about replacing reactive plating, was that for Darklyte? just asking because he seems to be using titanium plating which I guess is something else (or is it the same?). I've got reactive plating. I use it because of it's extra defence against missile impacts. From your choice of composite plating, am I right to infer that you favour agility over amour when it comes to combat?

Oops, looks like I lied. I must have returned to the Centurion frame a while ago and forgot. I recall the Leviathan being a litte too heavy for my taste. Felt like driving a hovercraft, but the specs were pretty much the same with perhaps the only minor changes being more armor plating and missile hardpoints. Anyway, here are my current specs.

I consider this build a Combat/Exploration hybrid. The Thruster module and Composite plating negate a little of the extra mass by adding maneuverability. I chose to make my custom cannons and beam weapons with high yields (though the particle cannons are so badass that I rarely use my beam weapons), then compensated the added energy consumption and heat output by equipping Cannon Heatsinks, and a Cannon Relay Sys. The Repair Sys C3 helps to repair damage done in multiple waypoint engagements in between battles, or if I got chewed up in deep space and can't get to a station quickly while critical systems are damaged.

If I'm intentionally taking the Centy into combat (Especially PvP), I store my TW and equip a Stealth Generator. I keep Leech missiles equipped, which knock out navigation and weapons for a short time. One of my preferred methods for taking a target out is to cloak with the Stealth Gen, fly within range of the target and match speed, then decloak, let loose a Leech to blind and cripple them, then unload with my high yield cannons, which can usually destroy a ship within a single energy bank cycle.

If done properly, the target never knows what hit them. One minute nothing's there, then you hear a VERY quick missile warning, and BAM, your HUD and weapons go dead, and all hell breaks loose. (I know, I've been on the receiving end of this terrifying technique, and survived to tell about it thanks to Ghost Fleet's superior station construction Wink
